James Phillip Darrow, 83, passed away on October 25, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on February 25, 1943, in Meadville, Pennsylvania to James F Darrow and Marion R. Badagliacca. A man remembered for his thoughtful, generous, and selfless nature, James lived a life grounded in faith, family, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.

James graduated from Meadville High School in 1961. Over the years, his life carried him from Pennsylvania to Chicago, Illinois, and later to Edgewood, Texas, where he made his home for the last seven years. On August 26, 1972, he married Melody in Addison, Illinois, beginning a marriage that remained an important part of his life.

He found enjoyment in many things, especially sports, and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed attending car shows and appreciated the fellowship and excitement they brought. Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, a role that clearly brought him great pride and joy. James was also of the Christian faith, which was a meaningful part of his life.

James is survived by his wife, Melody Funk Darrow; his daughter, Wendi Clark; his son-in-law, Brian; his sister, Tina Aquilino; his grandchildren, Alexis Bradford and her husband, John Ross, and Ella Clark; great grandson Jackie James Bradford, and a host of nieces, nephews, and dearest friends Frank and Betty Williams. He will be remembered with love by his family and friends, and his memory will remain a lasting blessing to those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Terrance Darrow.

His life was marked by kindness, devotion, and care for others. May James P. Darrow be remembered for the love he shared, the family he treasured, and the steady presence he gave to those around him.
