Addie Mae Spencer was born on February 8, 1938 in Kilgore, Texas to the parentage of William and May Donnie Maroney.
She attended Cartwright Public School. She was a member of the East Oak Street Church of Christ in Edgewood, Texas. On October 19, 1956, she married the love of her life Sylvester "See" Spencer and to this union six children were born.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and May Donnie Maroney; her husband, Sylvester Spencer Sr.; sons, James Clayton Spencer and John Spencer Sr.; daughter, Joyce Ann Brown; sisters, Mary Ann Maroney, Polly Wilson, Leomia Alexander and Mattie Spencer; brothers, Amile Maroney, William Maroney Jr., and George Maroney.
She leaves to cherish five sons, Robert Spencer (Ann), Horace Spencer, Sylvester Spencer Jr. (Debra), Jimmy Spencer Sr. (Brenda), Lago Spencer (Taneicesaya); daughters, Mary Black (Benny), Addie L. Spencer and Stacey Spencer; two sisters, Annie Antia (Okon) and Emma Pearl Elie (LP).
A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
