Amanda Lea Payne, 39, of Wills Point, Texas went to her heavenly home on July 31, 2023.

Amanda was born on October 8, 1983, in Dallas, Texas to John Douglas Payne and Karen Lea Shaw Payne.

She was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School with the Class of 2002.  Amanda attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where she received her bachelor's degree.  She then attended SMU Law School and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2018.

Amanda was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed reading, camping, hiking, shopping and loved animals, especially those she would rescue.  She enjoyed participating in crossfit.

She is preceded in death by her "mamaw" Louise Shaw, "Papa" Buddy Shaw, and Grandfather Archie H Payne.

Amanda leaves behind by her parents, John and Karen Payne, brother, Josh Payne and wife Nikki, nephews Carter and Gunnar Payne; grandmother Betty Payne; special aunt & uncle, Karmen and Mike McCarroll; special cousins Katrina Goodson, Elizabeth Browning, and Rylee Browning; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave. in Wills Point, Texas.
