Funeral services for Amos Lee Mann, 78, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Mike Williams officiating.
He passed away Saturday evening, November 12, 2016 in Quinlan.
Amos was born October 21, 1938, in Billings, Montana, the son of John Amos Mann and Merle Bullard Mann. He was raised in Sulphur, Louisiana and graduated from Sulphur High School. Amos was a veteran for the United States Air Force, having served from 1956 to 1960. For eighteen years he was married to Ann Bridges and in 1982, he married Susan Mills in Houston. In 1988, he began working for Terrell State Hospital, where he was a maintenance supervisor, retiring in 2015. Prior to moving to Wills Point in 1982, he lived in The Woodlands. Amos raised Catahoula dogs and sold them all over the world. He was a member of the N.R.A., American Brahman Breeder Association and the National Association of Louisiana Catahoulas.
Preceded in death by his parents, John Amos and Merle Mann Scofield; brother, Patrick Mann and a grandson, Jonathan Mann.
Amos is survived by his wife, Susan Mann, of Wills Point; three sons, Eric Mann, of The Woodlands, Patrick Mann & wife, Twilah, of The Woodlands and Ethan Mann & wife, Bennie, of Indian Trail, North Carolina; two step-brothers, John Scofield and William Scofield and two grandsons, Kyle Mann and Adam Mann.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.
