Funeral services for Arbee McKnight, 93, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point with Pastor David Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Sunday morning, September 27, 2015, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point.
Arbee was born October 26, 1921, in Wills Point, the daughter of William Thomas Grier, Sr. and Dollie R.B. McDonald Grier. She was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School. She was married to Melton Maurice McKnight. Arbee was employed by Baker Clinic in Wills Point for twenty-five years and Terrell State Hospital for twenty-three years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going fishing. Arbee was a member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melton McKnight; brother, Calvin Grier; two sisters, Tressa Grier and Estelle Dennis; son, Rickey McKnight and twin granddaughters, Melody & Jodie McKnight.
Arbee is survived by two sons, Greg McKnight & wife, Judy, of Wills Point and James McKnight, of Wills Point; daughter, Cynthia Dodson & husband, Donald, of Lake Tawakoni; brother, W.T. Grier, Jr. & wife, Betty, of Denison; nine grandchildren, Michelle McKnight Ragland, Andrea McKnight McKinney, Misty McKnight Chambliess, Stormy Dawn Dodson Putman, Lee Jared Dodson, Joshua James McKnight, Jacob Maurice McKnight, Jesse Chas McKnight and Jamie Lea McKnight Wallis; seven great-grandchildren, Will Ragland, Wyatt McKinney, Cadance Chambliess, Corey Putman, McKenzie Putman, Landri Grace McKnight and Oaklea Jane Wallis; niece, Theresa Timmons, of Graham and two nephews, Gene Dennis, of Lake Fork and Terry Grier, of Denison.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
