Archie Leonard Purdy, 70, of Wills Point passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at his residence.

Archie was born on April 18, 1952, to the late Richard and Mary Ann Purdy in Roswell, New Mexico. Archie was raised in Pleasant Grove and moved to Myrtle Springs in 1990. He was married to his late wife Karen for 46 years. Archie pastored the Community Gospel Church of Myrtle Springs for 25 years. He loved God, his family and fishing.

Archie is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Rebekah Pirtle and brother-in-law Bill Reffitt.

Archie leaves behind his sisters, Deborah Hume and Frank, Linda Reffitt, and Annette McCallum and David; grandchildren, Adam Pirtle and Brittney Smock, Brandon Pirtle, Destany Stark and Jeremy Scott; along with nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held for Archie Purdy on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. Family will be accepting guests one hour prior for visitation. Archie will be laid to rest at Myrtle Springs Cemetery.
