Funeral services for Arthur Weaver, 83, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Dwain Moore officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Wills Point.
He passed away Thursday night, October 13, 2016, north of Wills Point.
Arthur was born June 24, 1933, in Texarkana, Texas, the son of Steven Carol Weaver and Jettie Estelle Sharon Weaver. He was raised in the Texarkana and Sherman areas. On January 9, 1960, he married Ida Faye Campbell in Dallas. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for the City of Dallas and Moore's, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed playing golf, gambling and spending time with his family. He lived in Garland prior to moving to Wills Point sixteen years ago.
Preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Jettie Weaver; two sisters, Mae Decker and Carolyn James; son, David Miskell and a daughter, Peggy Weaver.
Arthur is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Ida Faye Weaver, of Wills Point; son, Arthur Weaver, Jr., of Wills Point; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Thomas & husband, Bob, of Seagoville and Sandy Pinner & husband, Dennis, of Wills Point; nine grandchildren, Shirley, Jean, Pete, LeeAnn, Michael, Pamela, Donnie, David and Leslie and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday one hour prior to service
