Arvella Sue "NeNe" Edwards (Comer), aged 79, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Born on April 22, 1945, in Giles, Tennessee, Sue grew up in a nurturing environment that shaped her into a loving, faith-filled, and gentle individual.

Sue dedicated many years of her life to Travelers Insurance, retiring in 1985. Her commitment to her career was paralleled by her devotion to her faith, actively participating in the Baptist community. Sue's hobbies included pottery, baking, and canning, activities that brought joy not only to her but also to those who were lucky enough to experience her culinary and artistic talents.

She was the beloved matriarch of her family, survived by her son Gary Wayne Edwards and his wife, Tonia; her brother, Wallace Comer and his wife, Beverly. NeNe's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Meredith Tobias and husband Vincent, Justin Edwards and wife Harley, Donovan Edwards, Jake Fluitt and wife, Leah, Klint Fluitt, and Kenni Sue Fluitt. NeNe was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Donnie Edwards; her son, William Donnie Edwards, Jr.; her daughter, Cynthia Lee Wonacott; her brother, Charles Comer; and her sisters, Mary Ann Hartsell and Barbara Holder.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM on the same day. Both services will take place at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas. Sue will be laid to rest at Union Grove Cemetery following the service.

NeNe Edwards will be remembered as a pillar of strength and love in her community and her passing will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew her.
