Barbara Adair Luckett, of Emory, Texas passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on October 31, 1945, in Orange City, Texas, Barbara lived a full and vibrant life rooted in faith, family, and a spirited sense of adventure.

Barbara married the love of her life, Wayne Luckett, in December 1963. Their enduring partnership spanned over six decades and was marked by laughter, shared experiences, and the occasional good-natured scolding—Barbara was known for her sharp wit when it came to keeping Wayne in line. Together they built a loving home and raised two sons, Billy Luckett and Charles Luckett.

A dedicated professional, Barbara served as the Food Service Manager with Rains Independent School District for over 25 years. Her commitment to her work reflected her nurturing spirit and her belief in caring for others through acts of service—especially when it came to feeding people well.

Barbara's love extended deeply into her family. She cherished her two grandchildren, Cody Luckett and Caden Luckett, and found immense joy in watching her three great-grandchildren—Gracie, Coy, and Walker—grow. Her legacy lives on through them and the many memories they shared together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.T. and Dora Adair.

Barbara had a zest for life that made every moment count. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved and had an undeniable flair for casino adventures—especially when accompanied by family. Whether it was the thrill of the slots or simply being surrounded by loved ones during those trips, she embraced each outing with enthusiasm. Fishing trips with Wayne were another favorite pastime—at least until he got the boat; after that point, Barbara decided dry land suited her just fine.

Faith-filled and kind-hearted with a streak of mischief that kept everyone smiling, Barbara brought warmth wherever she went. Her adventurous spirit and unwavering devotion to those around her will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 6, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Smyrna Union Church RS County Road 1150. Visitation one hour prior to service.
