Barbara Ann Petty, 51, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at her home.

Barbara was born on December 5, 1970, to John and Adelle Grimes in Terrell, Texas. She lived in Wills Point most of her life. Barbara was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Jeff Petty for 14 years. Barbara enjoyed crafting, fishing, and rock concerts. She loved spending time with her children. Many will cherish her memory of the long friendships and laughs shared over the years.

Barbara leaves behind her mother Adelle Grimes and father John Grimes; sons, Dylan Grimes and Nikki of Wills Point, Trevor Petty of Martins Mill and Trenton Petty of Martins Mill; stepsisters, Marcee and Kim; and stepbrothers Roy and Jody; grandmother Nelta Pirtle Huff of Wills Point; her aunts, Martha Pirtle of Wills Point, Mary Decanto of Garland, Joyce Pirtle of Wills Point, Roseanne Cox of California and Dotty France of Arkansas; uncles, Joe Grimes of Oregan, David Grimes of California, and Allen France of Arkansas; cousins, Mike Horton of May Pearl, Darren Decanto of New Jersey, Bob Pirtle and Otis Pirtle, Tonya Rogers, Carrie and David Jr. Grimes, Katy and Nick Cox, Ricky, Dolores and Crystal France,  along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph and Bertha Grimes and Hershal Pirtle; stepmother Betty Grimes; cousins, Joey and Tammy Grimes; uncle Bobby Pirtle and Nick Decanto.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home. Family will be accepting guests one hour prior for visitation. Barbara will be laid to rest at Union Grove Cemetery following her service. Family would like to extend a special thanks to Candy Huff for taking Barbara to all her doctors' appointments along with Alinea Family Hospice Care for the exceptional care they gave to Barbara while she was at home.
