A private memorial service for Barbara Jean Walker, 78, of Wills Point, will be held at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Chaplain Dwayne McCormack officiating. Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
She passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 9, 2019, at her residence in Wills Point.
Barbara was born July 25, 1940, in Dallas, the daughter of Harold Williams and Geraldine Chumley Williams. She was raised in Dallas and was a graduate of South Oak Cliff High School in 1958. On February 7, 1958, she married Virgle Dee Walker in Dallas. Barbara was formerly employed by the Dallas Morning News, Greyhound and Champion Home Builders. In 2010, she retired from the Wills Point I.S.D., where she was a secretary. She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point forty-seven years ago. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, working crossword puzzles and watching Judge Judy. Barbara was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by her parents Harold and Geraldine Williams and her husband, Virgle Dee Walker on February 26, 2007.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Kim Sullivan & husband, Larry, of Wills Point and D'Ann Walker and Roy White, of Wills Point; sister, Arvida Bennison, of Grapevine; four grandchildren, Rachel Fuller & husband, Shane, Megan Phillips & husband, David, Chase Sullivan and Peyton Walker Brown & wife, Morgan and ten great-grandchildren, Savannah Phillips, Devon Phillips, Jayden Phillips, Kilynn Fuller, Landri Fuller, Jayleigh Phillips, Jensen Phillips, Caleb Sullivan, Jagger Phillips and Braeden Brown.
