Ben Arthur Cooter, age 66, of Canton, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2023, at Canton Oaks nursing facility.  He was born in Salina, Kansas on September 19, 1956, to James R. and Barbara Cooter.

Ben was a faithful believer and attended the Methodist church.  He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed trap shooting.  He was a people person, loved his friends and family.  He was known to make his rounds in downtown Canton visiting folks he knew.

Ben is preceded in death by his father, James R. Cooter. Survivors include his mother, Barbara Cooter and his faithful canine companions, Dixie and Sky.

Ben will be honored with a simple cremation and later to be inurned in Kansas.
