Bessie Mae Petrea, 84, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2022, at her home.

Bessie was born on December 19, 1937, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, to the late Erma and Arthur Langford. She was raised in Wills Point. She married her late husband Arlis Wayne Petrea on April 1, 1955, in Wills Point. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church. Over the years, Bessie worked for Malouf's Factory and retired from Vistawall in 1995. She enjoyed reading Harlequin Books, watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and game shows. Her favorite game show was Family Feud.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Bruce Langford, Barnie Langford and Leroy Langford; sisters, Mildred Ledbetter and Geraldine Kirby.

Bessie leaves behind her son Terry Wayne Petrea; daughters, Linda Kay Petrea and Glenda Ann Powers; brother Wayne Langford; sister Melba Gene Gaston; grandchildren, Cory Petrea, Casey Petrea, Colton Petrea, Nicole Garza, BJ Garza, Kristy Lackey, Michael Powers and Jason Powers; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Family will be accepting guests Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 3pm to 5pm at Allan Fuller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 2pm at Allan Fuller Funeral Home. Bessie will be laid to rest beside her husband in Canton at Haven of Memories.
