Betty Jane Polege Hubbell age 89 born in Dunkerton, Iowa to Ed & Lillian Polege on July 23, 1930 joined her parents, sister, and husband Robert Hubbell, children Randy & Ellie Hubbell, Russell Hubbell, and Grandson Michael Hubbell in Heaven On October 9 th , 2019.
Betty & Bob lived and raised their family in Des Moines, Iowa before moving to Texas & Florida where she lived for much of her life. Recently Betty moved back to Texas to live with her Daughter & Son in Law.
Betty was a Granny to many as she drove a School Bus in Texas & Florida. She loved to cook and Crochet, read books, & play games on her Kindle. And it was with great joy that her Crocheted Santa Suit birthed the children's book, "The Crocheted Santa", written and published about her and the special suit. Her crochet also won 1 St & 3 rd place at the State Fair of Texas.
She is survived by her brother Bill Polege (Wills Point, Tx.), Sister Minnie Ada (Jesup, Iowa), daughter Barbra & husband Dennis Bass (Wills Point, Tx), son Rick Hubbell & LaVon Neely (Ankeny, Ia.), daughter-in law Jane Hubbell (Wills Point, Tx.), son Rex Hubbell (Des Moines, Ia.), and daughter Bonnie Hubbell (Wills Pt.,Tx.), also Self-Adopted daughter Terry McAlpine (Des Moines, Ia,). Grand Children Steven, LaVonda, Shannon, Josh S., Shiela, Josh H., Amanda, Don, Amy, Mark, Kasey, Shayne, Marcy, Jack, Ashley, and Brian who lived with and cared for her in Florida until she moved to Texas to live with her daughter Barbra earlier this year. She is also survived by Great Grand Children Taylor, Stephie, Preston, Brandon, Brooklyn, Kylee, Anthony, Brynn, Bradyn, Amber, Ashley, Brianna, Austin, Eli, and 2 Great-Great Grand children Sophie & Lorenzo and many nieces and nephews. Until we meet again grammie, you will be dearly missed, may your love continue to grow and inspire us all.
