Latham
August 12, 1947 – November 6, 2020
Betty J. Latham, of Grandview, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020, at the age of 73.
Betty was born on August 12, 1947 in McKinney, Texas to the late Cletus and Belvia Latham. She grew up in East Texas and graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School. Betty moved to Grandview, Texas, five years ago from Grand Saline, Texas. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Grandview. After retiring as an Instructor from Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School, Betty enjoyed visiting family and friends, giving makeovers, and shopping, but her greatest love was her family. Betty treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a spunky personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went.
To cherish her memories, Betty leaves behind her son, Ricky Ray of Whitney, Texas; daughters, Angela Ray of Midlothian, Texas and Amber Thompson and Zachary of Grandview, Texas; grandchildren, Travis Ray, Classic Rayford, Trent Ray, Brandy Ray, Waylon Ray, Erik Gipson, Allie Thompson and Slate Thompson; six great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relative and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Weldon Latham, Iva Nell Shaddox and Donnie Latham.
