Betty C. Simmons, 84, of Edgewood, Texas passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in Canton, Texas.

Betty was born on December 5, 1937, to the late Charlie and Bonnie Culver in Iowa Park, Texas. She was raised in Wills Point. Betty had lived in Edgewood since 1970. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Edgewood. Betty married her late husband Jack Simmons on October 31, 1953. Together they shared 56 years.

Betty leaves behind her son Jackie Simmons and wife Rhonda of Sachse, Texas; daughters, Betty Thompson of Edgewood and Tye Haake of Edgewood; brother John Culver and wife Sherry of Dallas; grandchildren, Tonya McCartney, Tara Mulvihill, Consuela and Andy Ables, Felicha Campbell and Cody Simmons; great-grandchildren, Drew Ables, Taelour McCartney, Tylee McCartney, Brixtyn Mulvihill, and Layden Mulvihill.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bonnie Culver; husband Jack Simmons; daughter Sherry Simmons; brothers Jimmy Culver Orvill Culver, Charles Culver, Jerry Culver and Harvey Sanders; sisters Louise Chapel and Mary Culver.
