Betty Sledge, 96, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Born on February 4, 1929 to Miller Collins and Sarah Day.  Betty was born and raised in Arkansas. She married John C. Sledge, Jr. in August of 1973, and they shared a loving marriage until his passing in May of 2010. Betty dedicated many decades of service to Southwestern Bell before retiring.

She was of the Baptist faith and found joy in attending church. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting and had a passion for fishing, often spending winters in Texas with her late husband. Together, they traveled extensively, visiting destinations such as the United Kingdom and Mexico.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Deana Fink (Bill); grandchildren David Fink (Tara), Tamara Wulf (Jason), Terri Wright (Mike), and Calvin "Ray" Sledge; multiple great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Mary, a devoted caretaker who went above and beyond in her care for Betty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Sledge, Jr.; her parents; and multiple sisters.

Betty's kindness and generosity touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
