Funeral service for Betty Marie Thompson, 81, of Edgewood, Texas will be held Friday, June 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Allan Fuller Funeral Home.

She passed away on May 31, 2020, at Canton Oaks.

Betty was born March 6, 1939, in Edgewood, Texas, to the late Clara Mae and W.H. Dub Lewis. She was a resident of Edgewood all her life and attended Willow Springs Baptist Church. On June 12, 1956, she married Bobby Thompson in Crandall, Texas. Betty loved flowers, gardening, cooking, spending time with family, especially grandkids, and going to 1 ^st Monday Trade days, along with traveling.

To cherish her memories, she leaves behind daughters, Lica Beasley and husband, Doug of Edgewood, Dianna Morris and husband, Danny of Edgewood; son, Stephen Thompson of Edgewood; sisters, Shirley Sizemore and husband, Gerald of Fruitvale, Cathy Hall and husband, Bruce of Tyler; sister-in-laws, Patricia Chaney of Athens, Vivian Thompson of Gun Barrell and Betty Simmons Thompson of Edgewood; brother in law, Gene Spruiel of Gun Barrell; grandchildren; Monica Davidson and husband, George Jr., Amanda Thompson, Penny Morris, Emily Huey and husband, David, Leah Clair and husband, Riggin; 9 great-grandchildren along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members. Lifelong friend, Margaret Dillard.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dee Thompson; her parents, W.H. "Dub" Lewis and Clara Mae Lewis; grandson, Michael Shane Murphree; 4 brotherS-in law, Jerry Don Thompson, James Thompson, Kenny Thompson, and David Thompson; sister-in-law, Doris Guess; two daughterS-in-law, Debbie Thompson and Melissa Thompson.
