Billie Dale
Elliott
April 18, 1935 – March 4, 2025
Billie Dale Elliott, 89, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Wills Point, Texas.
Born on April 18, 1935, in Brilliant, Alabama, Billie was the son of Thomas Nathaniel Elliott and Rachel Eula Ledlow. He grew up in Alabama and graduated from Winfield High School as part of the Class of 1953. After completing his education, he went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army from July 1960 to July 1962, where he distinguished himself as a sharpshooter and rifle expert. He then served in the US Army Reserves from July 1962 - June 1966
Following his military service, Billie built a career at Safeway Grocery, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1986. Known for his friendly and gentle nature, he had a way of making those around him feel welcome and at ease. His sense of humor and gift for storytelling made him a joy to be around.
Billie found great happiness tending to cattle at his ranch, where he spent countless hours caring for the land and animals. He also enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Alabama Crimson Tide. He loved to share stories with family and friends. A man of faith, he was of the Baptist tradition and carried his beliefs with quiet strength throughout his life.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimmie Westley and husband Bredt; Kallie Adamcik and husband Brian; grandchildren Meagan Teal and husband James, Trey Sahlstein, Peyton Adamcik, Gregory Adamcik, and Bradley Adamcik; and great-grandchildren Landry Teal, Finley Teal, and Addison Sahlstein; his sister Tommie Sue Fetter. Uncle Bill was loved by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Estelle Elliott; brothers Johnnie Elliott and Donald Elliott; and sister Eulene Burns.
Billie's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
