Billy Roe Ebarb, 80 of Ben Wheeler, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his residence.

Billy was born on October 4, 1942, to the late Curtis and Violet Ebarb in Wills Point, Texas. He graduated from Wills Point High School in 1961. Billy grew up and spent all his life in Van Zandt County. In the year of 1961 Billy worked for Texas Aluminum. He was a woods craftsmen full time for five years but carried on his craftsmanship in many years to follow. In 1981 he started his career at Boles ISD. Over the course of two summers, he took classes at East Texas State University where he received his vocational degree which led him to teaching the next 15 years at Boles. In 1996, he worked at Terrell State Hospital in the Vocational department where he helped patients gain life skills to help them gain work skills. Billy joined Canton ISD where he worked nine years as the Transportation Director and retired in 2006. He loved helping others so much that a tradition his family will remember him by is during Thanksgiving and Christmas he would distribute turkeys and fruit baskets to his neighbors. Billy also loved his cattle and spotted donkeys.

Bills leaves behind his daughter D'Anne DeWitt and husband Tom; son William Grubaugh; brother Curtis Ebarb and sister Lila Jones; grandchildren, Alex Seeton and wife LeeAnn, Alisha Robinson and husband Jerry, Clint Shafer, Brittany Harris and husband Benjamin, Marilyn Grubaugh, and Marci Grubaugh; great-grandchildren, Evan Robinson, Ava Robinson, Oaks Robinson and Evan Grubaugh.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2 pm at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas.
