Funeral services for Billy Gee Miller, 84, of Wills Point are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Travis Tate officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery north of Wills Point.
He passed away early Saturday morning, July 21, 2018, at his residence in Wills Point.
Billy was born January 1, 1934, in Wills Point, the son of William Gee Miller and Josie Cone Miller. He was raised in Wills Point, where he attended public school. Billy was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. On October 26, 1973, he married Donna Rae Downing in Durant, Oklahoma. Billy was a truck driver for National Trailer Convoy in Tulsa, Oklahoma, owned and operated a T.V. repair business near Lake Tawakoni and later was a bus driver for the Wills Point I.S.D. and was currently serving as a bus monitor. He lived in Grapevine prior to moving back to Wills Point in 1973. He enjoyed fishing, farming and raising his cattle. Billy was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his parents, William & Josie Miller; wife, Donna Rae Miller on April 6, 2000; two sisters, Mary Jo Furrh and Panjo Hay; brother, Raymond C. "Bud" Miller and a step-son, Gary Faling.
Billy is survived by his step-son, Ken Faling & wife, Carol, of Wills Point; sister, Shirley Tedder, of Florida; three grandchildren, Melanie Landesman, Jason Huddleston and Codi Wilson; six great-grandchildren, Hagen Huddleston, Saige Huddleston, Nova Wilson, Adyson Lovvorn, Brooklyn Landesman and Elza Landesman; great-great grandson, Jerry Huddleston; three nephews and four nieces.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
