Funeral services for Billy Zink Robertson, 80, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Don Tisdale officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood.
Billy passed away Monday morning, September 11, 2017, at Lake Tawakoni.
Billy was born February 17, 1937, in Edgewood, Texas, the son of John Thelo Robertson, Sr. and Denneth Christine Zink Robertson. He was raised in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1956. On August 23, 1959, he married Dawn Stout in the Small Community, north of Edgewood. Billy was formerly employed by the City Barber Shop in Terrell and later owned and operated Billy's Barber Shop in Wills Point for many years, retiring in 2004. He liked buying, selling and trading things at his business, Billy's Trading Post. Billy loved fishing and had kept a record of how many fish he had caught out of Lake Tawakoni. He never met a stranger and really enjoyed being around people and making them laugh by telling jokes and pulling pranks. Billy lived in Terrell prior to moving to Wills Point fifty-four years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Robertson, Sr. and Christine Robertson; two brothers, J.T. Robertson, Jr., and Ralph Robertson; three sisters, Margaret Moore, Clara Scearce and Emma Jane Robertson and a niece, Donna Kay Hunter.
Billy is survived by his wife, Dawn Robertson, of Wills Point; brother, James Harold "Big Foot" Robertson & wife, Maybelle, of Edgewood; two sisters, Sue Wade, of Edgewood and Patricia LaRoe, of Terrell; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
