Obituary

Bob Henry Truett, Jr., 67, born in Dallas, Texas passed away quietly in Wills Point, Texas on November 20, 2023, at his residence. He was defined by his exceptional ability to farm and run a ranch.  Bob was marked by his spirited, wise, and handy appreciation for his farm life.

Bob was raised in Sunnyvale, Texas and moved to Wills Point 38 years ago.  He was of the Christian faith. He married his beloved wife, Marie Hillis Truett in 2000 in Rockwall, Texas.  Bob was the cherished son of the late Bob Henry Truett Sr. and Mary Ann Gilliam Truett.

Bob was cherished by his wife, Marie Truett; sons Randall Hammonds and wife, Leah, Bob Henry Truett III; four daughters, Alyssia Trimble and husband, Michael, Jodie Hammonds, Christina Truett and Bobbie Jo Hillis; one sister, Arminda Zimmerman; 16 Grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Tyler, Jacob, Alyssa, Courtney, Lexi, Addyson, Dillon, Christopher, Breana, Tanner, Madison, Allie, Luke and Alyssa.  His love grew stronger with the three Great-Children, Lilly, Colt and Ellie.  He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Sharon Wallis and Gayla Truett; and brother, Richard Truett.

Undoubtedly, Bob will be remembered for his devotion to his loved ones and his vivacious interests, including tractors, farming produce, cattle and cutting hay.  His memory endures as a testament to the profound relationships and experiences that shaped a life well-lived.

Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
