Memorial services for Bobby Gene Hickey, Jr., 61, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Forest Nichols officiating.
He passed away early Thursday morning, July 20, 2017, in Dallas.
Bobby was born May 17, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Bobby Gene Hickey, Sr. and Francis Louise Modisette Hickey. He was raised in the Dallas area and attended Spruce High School. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Navy. On May 31, 1975 he married Millie Nichols in Dallas. He was a self-employed welder and carpenter in the Dallas area, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, collecting and working on cars. He lived in Grand Prairie prior to moving to Wills Point in 1999. Bobby was an apprentice in the Masonic Lodge.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Gene Hickey, Sr. and Francis Louise Hickey and a brother, Anthony Stephen Hickey.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Millie Hickey, of Wills Point; two sons, Bobby G. Hickey, III, of Wills Point and Forrest Preston Hickey, of Wills Point; two daughters, Twana J. Hickey Reyes & husband, Butch, of Wills Point and Chanda Louise Blaylock & husband, Tom Young, of Mabank; brother, Ulysses Dwayne Hickey & wife, Linda, of Dallas and three grandchildren, James Blaylock, Jr., Ashleigh Blaylock and Jaime Blaylock.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
