Graveside service for Bobby Dee Thompson, 77, of Edgewood, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Small Cemetery north of Edgewood with Bro. Dwayne Ray officiating. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015, at his residence in Edgewood.

Bobby was born July 9, 1938, in Edgewood, the son of Dee Thompson and Eula Mae Brown Thompson. He was raised in the Willow Springs area and attended the Edgewood schools. On June 12, 1956, he married Betty M. Lewis in Crandall. Bobby was a self-employed farmer, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, baling hay, gardening and raising hogs. Bobby was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Grand Saline.

Preceded in death by his parents Dee & Eula Mae Thompson; mother-in-law, Clara Mae Lewis; two brothers, Jerry Don Thompson and James Thompson; sister, Doris Guess; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Thompson and Melissa Thompson and a grandson, Michael Shane Murphree.

Bobby is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Betty Marie Thompson, of Edgewood; two daughters, Lica Beasley & husband, Doug, of Edgewood and Dianna Morris & husband, Danny, of Edgewood; son, Stephen Thompson, of Edgewood; two brothers, Kenny Thompson & wife, Vivian, of Wills Point and David Thompson, of Wills Point; sister, Patricia Chaney, of Athens; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Sizemore & husband, Gerald, of Fruitvale and Cathy Hall & husband, Bruce, of Lindale; five grandchildren, Monica Davidson & husband, George Jr., Amanda Thompson, Penny Morris, Emily Thompson and Leah Thompson and five great-grandchildren.
