Bonnie Lorraine
Delgado
April 20, 1940 – September 29, 2025
Bonnie Lorraine Delgado (Farmer), age 85, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Lone Oak, Texas. Born on April 20, 1940, in Pensacola, Florida, Bonnie lived a full and vibrant life marked by devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and a love for the simple joys that brought her happiness.
Bonnie was the daughter of Sunny and May (Hobby) Farmer. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family and carried those values with her throughout her life. She worked as a dedicated bookkeeper until her retirement in 1992, bringing diligence and care to her profession.
In 1979, Bonnie married Pete Delgado. Their marriage was a lasting partnership filled with love and mutual support until Pete's passing in 2021. Together they built a life rooted in family and shared memories.
Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her sons Robert Fails and Dalton Fails and his wife Terry. She also leaves behind her brother Coleman G. Evans; sisters Clarene Houston, Judy C. Kanellos, and Edith M. Bishop; numerous grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Pete Delgado; her parents Sunny and May Farmer; her daughter Linda C. Fails Rice; and her granddaughter Jennifer.
A woman of many interests, Bonnie found joy in needlepoint and collecting antiques—treasures that reflected both her creativity and appreciation for history. She loved watching soccer matches and had a special fondness for pink roses. A proud member of The Elks, she valued community involvement and camaraderie. Those who knew Bonnie remember her as helpful and deeply devoted to those she loved.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived.
