Brenda Joyce Wortham Brown 78 years old.

Passed away on January 26, 2025, at her home in Wills Point, Texas after a long battle with Alzheimer's.  Brenda fought daily to live but will fly high in heaven embracing her savior without any pain or struggles.

Brenda was born July 22, 1946, in Kaufman, Texas to parents Lillian Burleson Wortham and Ruel V. Wortham.  She was their third child and first girl of seven children. Brenda attended school in Kaufman, Texas, Shreveport, Louisiana and Elkhart, Texas.  Brenda graduated from Kaufman High School in 1964.

After graduation she moved to Dallas and lived with her aunt and uncle while working for Republic Insurance company in downtown Dallas.  While living in Dallas she met and married Donald Eugene Brown in September 1965.  They had one child, Donna Jean Brown.

Brenda and her husband ran a pest control business in Dallas and when they moved to Wills Point in 1997, they continued operations until 2013.  She enjoyed talking to people and getting to know them.

She attended Pleasant Dale Baptist Church in Dallas where she taught Sunday School and was the principal/teacher of the churches school Pleasant Dale Christian Academy.  She loved spending time with family.  She also enjoyed working in the yard growing vegetables and flowers, working on her house, fishing/camping trips, preparing for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, going on shopping and road trips with her daughter.  Her family was important to her.  She tried to keep up with everyone and make sure they were okay.  She would write about family events in the margins of address books, bibles and random books.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna J Brown of Wills Point; Sisters, Martha Ann Lide of Edgewood, Linda Sue Wortham of Edgewood and Kathey Waldrep of East Tawakoni.  One brother, John Wortham and his wife, Melva Wortham of Dawson, Texas.  She has numerous nieces and nephews who she adored.

Brenda is preceded in death by her husband Donald Brown, parents Lillian and Ruel Wortham, brothers, Douglas Wortham and Mike Wortham.

She will greatly be missed by everyone, especially her daughter.  May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home located at 205 Corky Boyd Avenue, Wills Point.  Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral service at Myrtle Springs Cemetery
