Gordon Russell Tarver, AKA Bud, 86 of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born on February 15, 1936, in Wills Point to the late John and Nona Tarver.

Bud was raised in Wills Point and spent 53 years of his life in Garland. He was of the Baptist faith. He graduated from Wills Point High School. He served in the Army for 2 years and worked for Earl Terry which began his career in full-service car care at Casa Linda Mobil. Bud retired from being a part Owner/Operator at Casa Linda Mobil in Dallas, Texas, after 42 years. He was known to many as a workaholic. He was loved and respected by many residents and longtime customers. He loved to eat at good Steak Houses on the weekends. Loved watching westerns Cheyenne was his favorite. Later in life he moved to Atlanta, Texas to be closer to his daughters Kelli, Kristen, and their families.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Nona Tarver; brothers, Grady Tarver and JT Tarver; and sisters Lucille Miles and Leona Tarver Copeland; great-grandson Jacer Warrick.

Bud is survived by his daughters, Kelli and husband Wayne Wright, Kristen and husband Jason Rawls and Alicia and husband Steve Jermyn; grandchildren, Ashton and husband Jared Warrick and Dalton and wife Shyann Wright; great-grandchildren, Kalaway and Kylo Warrick and Holden Wright (Due Date Sept 23) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers; Blake Miles, Wayne Wright, Jason Rawls, Charles Blakely, Chet Clayton, and Gregg Moore.

Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. 2121 K.
