June 29, 1968 – November 1, 2019
Byron Todd Harding, 51 of Wills Point, left his earthly life surrounded by his family on November 1, 2019 at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas. He was born in Dallas, Texas at Methodist Hospital on June 29, 1968.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his parents Norman and Sue Harding Jr of Wills Point; wife, Mary Mahood-Garner of Wills Point; brother, David Bodie Harding of Forney; sister, Kasey and husband Nicholas Kobres of Rowlett; daughter, Lauren and husband Shawn Poole, and children; Ava, Khloie, and Jase of Royse City; son, Cheyene Harding and fiancé Lauren Thomas of Quinlan; step-sons, Caleb Garner of Wills Point and Joseph and Michelle Langford and children of White Oak; nieces and nephews, Ashlie Sallee, Alexis and Kalin Harding of Wills Point, Mikah and Cole Alexander, Lochlainn and Kaydin Kobres of Rowlett
Byron is preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Faynell Harding Sr.; sister, Nicole Danielle Harding
Byron worked for Hunt County Sheriff Department as a Deputy from May 10, 1999 to September 3, 2008. Six years were spent working patrol and the others were spent in the K9 narcotics division. Byron was the handler and partner of Pound Dog and Solo. He received several commendations over the years. Byron loved to tell stories of Pound Dog and Solo's accomplishments in law enforcement. He also held a pilot's license and would often fly for the Sheriff Department. When Byron left Hunt County Sheriff Department his K9 partners Pound Dog and Solo left with him.
Byron was an amazing son, brother, husband, and a loving father. His love for his family was what kept him going in life. When his grandchildren came into this world he was filled with love and pride again. His love for his family and his career was fierce.
A Memorial Service will be held in Byron's honor on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the International Outreach Church in Wills Point at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson's foundation.
