Obituary

Carl Olin Wilson, 84, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on December 14, 2023. He was born on April 10, 1939, to Edna Frances Nesmith and Carl Jesse Wilson. Carl was a loving, friendly, generous, and funny man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Carl is survived by his wife, Jodella Tollefsen, his sons: Mark Wade Wilson and wife Sandy, and Robert Tollefsen; daughter, Dena Teague and husband Michael; and his grandsons: Jeffery Wade Wilson, Cristian Tollefsen, and Andrew Tollefsen. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Edna Frances Nesmith, Carl Jesse Wilson, and sister Carolyn Prectyl.

After completing his education at Dallas ISD, Carl served in the United States Marine Corp from 1957 to 1963. He proudly dedicated his time to serving his country.

Following his military service, Carl pursued a successful career. He worked for Delta Airlines, the Dallas Post Office, and was self-employed as a carpenter until his retirement in 2017.

Carl had a passion for genealogy, making knives, and flower gardening. These hobbies brought him great joy and allowed him to express his creativity and love for nature.

Carl Olin Wilson will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
