Carol Sue Hamby, 68 of Terrell, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Carol York was born on April 2, 1954, to Frank and Alvatine York in Illinois. She was of the Christian Faith. After graduating high school, she attended Belleville Area College. Carol retired from Thomas Construction in 2002. She loved to read her bible, do crossword, knit, watch westerns and Perry Mason. She loved music. Elvis was her favorite. She loved her family, and her children were her world.

Carol leaves behind her sons; Jeff Hamby and wife Amethyst of Wills Point, and Stephen York of Oakawille, Illinois; daughter Melissa Hamby of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Craivone Gladney of Wills Point, Devondrea Crenshaw of Chicago, Illinois, Raiyona Crenshaw of Chicago, Illinois and Romaya Crenshaw of Chicago, Illinois; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Carol is preceded in death by her father Frank Charles York and mother Alvatine York.
