Obituary

Carolyn Joan Lancaster, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 10, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of the late Henry Leroy Hunt and Willie Lou Hunt. She was raised in Aransas Pass, Texas, where she graduated from Aransas Pass High School in 1961.

In April of 1963, Carolyn married the love of her life, Terrance Lee Lancaster, with whom she shared a devoted marriage until his passing. Together, they built a life filled with love and faith, deeply rooted in their community and church. Carolyn was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Rockport, Texas, where she found joy in singing with the church choir.

Carolyn was known for her loving, friendly, and faith-filled nature. She had a passion for making ceramics, crafting, and decorating for the holidays, always creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. Her love was evident in her enjoyment of playing bunco with the ladies in her community.

She is survived by her sons, Trey Lancaster (Kimberly) and Travis Lancaster (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Kelli Middlebrooks (Zachary), Kensli Lancaster, Faith Lancaster, and Jordan Lancaster; and her sister, Kay Cone (Ted). Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Terrance Lee Lancaster, and her parents.

Carolyn's legacy of love, creativity, and faith will be cherished by all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory in their hearts, celebrating the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
