Funeral services for Annie Catherine Welch, 89, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Mike Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.
She passed away early Tuesday morning, May 24, 2016 in Wills Point.
Catherine was born February 3, 1927, in Quinlan, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Henry Moody and Lucy Klutts Moody. She was raised in Rockwall and graduated from Rockwall High School in 1945. On January 18, 1947, she married Byron Welch in Dallas. She lived in Pleasant Grove prior to moving to Wills Point over forty years ago. Catherine was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, cooking, canning and going to Charlie's Place. Catherine was a member of Life House Fellowship Church in Myrtle Springs.
Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry and Lucy Moody; husband, Byron Welch on February 3, 2003; son, Ronald Welch; daughter, Linda Williams; brother, Henry Lewis; sister, Mary Mulliniks and a grandchild, Anna Himel.
Catherine is survived by her son, Franky Welch & wife, Theresa, of Sachse; daughter, Dorothy Himel, of Seagoville; nine grandchildren, Perry Ketron, Roy Himel, Sharon Duckworth, Franky Himel, Stacie Pack, Lindsey Poplin, Tonya Luther, Tricia Hamilton, Dallas Bodin; nineteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
