Funeral services for Howard Clifton "Cliff" Vaughn, Jr., 69, of Oklahoma City, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Interment will follow at Bright Star Cemetery north of Wills Point.
He passed away Sunday morning, May 22, 2016, in Woodward, Oklahoma.
Cliff was born July 18, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Howard Clifton Vaughn, Sr. and Evelyn Dingler Vaughn. He was raised in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School. He later attended Eastfield College. Cliff was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was formerly employed by Western Electric in Mesquite, Telesphere in Dallas and was a self-employed truck driver for the past thirty-five years. Cliff enjoyed gambling, fishing and talking on his CB radio.
Preceded in death by his parents, Howard Clifton Vaughn Sr. and Evelyn Vaughn and his daughter-in-law, Nadine Vaughn on June 15, 2000.
Cliff is survived by his son, Craig Vaughn & wife, Amber, of Wills Point; two daughters, Amy Willis & husband, Randall, of Greenville and Emily Vaughn, of Greenville; two brothers, John Vaughn, of Log Cabin and Brian Vaughn & wife, Sherry, of Star Harbor; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Bessette & husband, Michael, Cassi Vaughn, Devin Boswell, Myranda Boswell, Madison Collier, Brooklyn Fuzzell, London Vaughn, Trenton Vaughn and Aubrey Dill and two great-grandchildren, Dustin Bessette and Lane Bessette.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon one hour prior to service.
