Funeral services for Clifton Joe "Cliff" Malone, 85, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Billy Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Lindale.
He passed away Tuesday morning, April 24, 2018, in Canton, surrounded by his family.
Cliff was born April 29, 1932, in Grand Saline, the son of Joe Kelly Malone and Adel Stalling Malone. He was raised in Grand Saline, where he attended public school. Cliff was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. On August 22, 1953, he married Neva Ann Melvin in Mineola. Cliff was formerly employed by Cap Bobbit Ranch, Texas Animal Health Commission, Malouf Manufacturing, Brookshire's and in 2013, he retired from Mitchell Oil in Wills Point. Cliff and Ann lived in Lindale prior to moving to Wills Point in 1962. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Cliff was a faithful member of Rainey's Chapel Baptist Church in Edgewood, where he served as a deacon.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joe Kelly and Adel Malone; wife, Ann Malone on January 3, 2013; sister, Lillie Brecheisen; granddaughter, Megan Malone and a great-grandson, Kendon Prox.
Cliff is survived by three sons, Cosby Malone & wife, Melanie, of Grand Saline, Mike Malone & wife, Tracy, of Tyler and Milam Malone & fiancée, Tina Jones, of Princeton; daughter, Carol Ann Fellers, of Wills Point; brother, Charles Gilmore & wife, Rita, of Lindale; sister, Barbara Glasscock & husband, R.C., of Lindale; eleven grandchildren, Amber Malone, of Grand Saline, Makayla Malone, of Grand Saline, Wendi Fellers, of Wills Point, Josh Malone & wife, Ashley, of McKinney, Candice Brock & husband, Jason, of Princeton, Colton Malone, of Princeton, Cason Malone, of Princeton, Patrick Malone & wife, Jen, of Tyler, Matthew Malone & wife, Michelle, of Terrell, Chase Malone & wife, Alyssa, of Lindale and Cullen Malone, of Tyler; nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
