Craig Steven Rogers

Craig Steven Rogers, affectionately known as “Skully,” passed away on October 11, 2026, in Canton, Texas, the town where his life first began on October 30, 1969. He will be remembered as a loving, generous, and selfless man whose presence brought comfort to those around him and whose life was marked by devotion to family, faith, work, and community.

Craig graduated from Wills Point High School in 1988 and went on to work as a metal building mover for Infinity Carports in Edgewood. He was a man who valued honest labor and service, and he carried that same spirit into every part of his life. He was a member of True Believers Baptist Church and also served on the Wills Point Juneteenth Committee, giving of himself in ways that reflected both his convictions and his care for others.

Beyond his work and community involvement, Craig found joy in life’s simple and meaningful blessings. He enjoyed cooking, helping people, and, above all, spending time with his children. Those who knew him will remember a man whose kindness was active, whose generosity was sincere, and whose love was felt in the everyday moments he shared so freely.

He is survived by his mother, Fannie Rogers, who held a cherished place in his life. He also leaves behind his children, Craig Rogers, Jr., Christopher Rogers, Alli Ross, and his special daughter, Zaylee, each of whom carried a unique and treasured bond with him. His family circle also includes his brothers, Christopher Thompson and his wife, Christina, and Emmanuel Rogers and his wife, Tiffany, as well as his sister, Lisa Rogers Lyons, and special uncle, Oscar Rogers. He is further survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will continue to hold his memory close and honor the love he gave so generously.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Rogers; his sister, Vondella Rogers; and his brother, Manuel Rogers. Their memories remained a part of his life, and now he rests in their company.
