Curtis LeRoy Marler, aged 52, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Born on December 5, 1971, in Portland, Oregon, he moved during his childhood to Texas, where he later graduated from Wills Point High School in 1990.
Curtis spent his career as a dedicated general manager at Kerney Trailers in Emory, Texas, for 10 years. Beyond his professional life, Curtis was a family man, he loved his kids and spending time outdoors. He was a member of the Lake Fork Sportsman Association, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love for the outdoors extended to rock hunting and playing golf, activities that he shared with friends and family, creating lasting memories. He loved his family and friends. He had a big heart and he would do anything for anyone. Indoors he collected coins, and enjoyed playing drums and reading scriptures.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Faughlette Marler; his dad, Larry Marler and his wife Bonnie; his sons, Tanner Marler and his wife, Lydia, Landon Marler and his wife, Serenity, and Clayton Marler and his wife, Harmony; and his daughter, Maddison Scott and her husband, Hagan. His fiancée, Tess Howe, and sisters, Jodi Corbett and her husband, Dale, and Lori Marler, will also hold his memory dear. Curtis was a proud grandfather to Hadlee, Jacob, Alaiya, Branson, and Kingsley. He will also be fondly remembered by his nephews, Brandon Corbett, Landon Corbett, and Jessie Morgan, along with many extended family members and friends. Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Inez Christensen, Clifford Marler, and Gordon and Fern Reagor.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a Celebration of Life service to be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 5:00 pm at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, Texas with Pastor Michael Williams officiating. The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Curtis's life was one of vibrant engagement and enduring relationships, a testament to a life well-lived and full of love.
