Dallas Heller Wilder, affectionately known as Casey, passed away on April 4, 2026, in Wills Point, Texas, following a tragic car accident. Born Dallas Heller McCormick on August 26, 1956, in Tokyo, Japan, she lived a life marked by creativity, intelligence, and an enduring passion for the things and people she held dear.
Casey’s deep devotion to her Christian faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart, finding strength and comfort in her beliefs, which resonated through her actions and relationships. Her spirituality was a central pillar, inspiring those around her.
A gifted artist, Dallas devoted much of her time to ceramic and bead art, crafting pieces that reflected her unique vision and skill. She also had a remarkable talent for making western wear accessories, blending artistry with the rugged charm of country culture. Her love for horses was well known, a passion that brought her great joy and connection to the natural world. Her appreciation for country music, especially the songs of Loretta Lynn, revealed another dimension of her heart, echoing the themes of resilience and spirit she embodied.
Dallas is survived by her son, Jesse Wilson. She was also a devoted grandmother to Nadia Wilson, Heidi Wilson, and Finn Wilson, who were sources of immense pride and happiness to her. Her sister, Mina Guillory, stands as a surviving close family member, sharing in the grief of loss and the legacy of love left behind. Among her closest companions were Dustin and Stephanie Ingold, friends who became like family, walking beside her through many of life’s moments.
Her passing on the same day as her beloved husband, Frank Wilder, marks a profound and heartbreaking coincidence. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert Neal McCormick and Maxine Georgia Scott McCormick, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
Dallas Heller Wilder’s life was one of vibrant creativity, heartfelt devotion, and unyielding love. She leaves behind a legacy of artistic beauty, faith, and treasured relationships. Though she is deeply missed, her spirit endures in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
