La Rosa Garcia
January 2, 1946 – January 3, 2024
Daniel Garcia, of Terrell, Texas passed away at the age of 78 at his home on January 3, 2024. He was born in Sabinas, Coahuila Mexico to the late Crispin DeLaRosa and Trinidad Maria Sifuntes. Daniel grew up in Acuna, Coahuila Mexico and later moved to the United States as a young man. He became a citizen on January 7, 1999.
Daniel loved the Lord and was a member of The First Assembly of God Church in Terrell for many years.
He worked various jobs throughout his life; retiring from Wills Point I.S.D. as a bus mechanic in 2008.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; sons Daniel Jr. and Steven Green; grandson Josh Armstrong. Other close family members include brothers and sister-in-laws: John and Sheri Bushnell, Claude and Isabel Bushnell, Clyde and Wanda Bushnell, Don and Ann Huffman, Ruth Childers, Carl Bushnell, Gary Prater, and Natalia DeLaRosa
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Ada (Bushnell) Garcia; son Rudy DeLaRosa and wife Maria of Terrell; daughter Blanca Torres and husband Luis of Terrell; sons James Earl Green and wife Phyllis of Oklahoma and Dwayne Green and wife Senn of Louisiana; daughter Sandra Armstrong and husband Phillip of Arkansas; daughter-in-law Olivia DeLaRosa of Terrell; brothers Alberto DeLaRosa of Wills Point, Elias DeLaRosa and wife Francine of Wills Point, Josue DeLaRosa of McAllen; and Joaquin DeLaRosa and wife Martha of Wills Point; brothers and sister-in-laws; Marie Slaughter, Bill and Rachel Bushnell, Sam and Yvonne Bushnell, Worth (PeeWee) and Shirley Bushnell, Martha Prater, Danny and Betty Gibson, and Joe and Kathy Bushnell; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services are scheduled to be held at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, with visitation on Friday January 5, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. and a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024.
