Funeral services for David Bush, 71, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Billy Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
He passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Wills Point.
David was born on February 10, 1947, in Nueces County, Texas, the son of Melvin Bush and Wylma Aileen Anthony Bush. He was raised in South Texas and graduated from San Isid ro High School in 1965. He attended San Angelo State University until he was drafted to the Army in 1966. He served until he was honorably discharged. On April 6, 1973, he married Brenda Arlene Davis in Wills Point. David was formerly employed by Enviromatic Systems in Grand Prairie for thirty-two years, retiring in January 2015. He lived in Terrell prior to moving to Edgewood forty-seven years ago. David dedicated his whole life taking care of his wife, Brenda and his daughters. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, playing Solitaire, Chess, working in his garage, piddling on projects around the house and loved WBAP Talk Radio. David was a member of Rainey's Chapel Baptist Church in Edgewood.
Preceded in death by his parents, Melvin & Wylma Bush; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bill & Bobbie Davis; brother-in-law, Eldon Keys and a sister-in-law, Shirley Lasater.
David is survived by his wife, Brenda Bush, of Wills Point; two daughters, Kelli Allen & husband, John, of Wills Point and Kerri Barber & husband, Terry, of Wills Point; brother, Dale Bush, & wife, Marietta, of Mesquite; three sisters, Sherry Keys, of Elmo, Martha Horseman & husband, Rand, of Ft. Worth and Ann Richey & husband, James, of Johnson City and four grandchildren, Aida Allen, of Canton, Viktoria Tabeleva, of Wills Point, Destini Healy, of Wills Point and Noah Barber, of Wills Point.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning one hour prior to funeral service.
