Funeral services for David Earl Baker, 56, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Monty Jones officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Wills Point
He passed away early Sunday morning, July 10, 2016, at his residence.
David was born December 4, 1959, in Wills Point, the son of Leon Baker and Selma York Baker. He was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1978. David was formerly employed by J & L Utilities in Edgewood, Madix in Terrell and he retired from Minc Co. in Dallas, where he was a pipe fitter. On February 15, 1991, he married Carol Christie in Dallas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and telling jokes. David was a member of House of Grace in Edgewood.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis & Linnie York and Fred & Bessie Baker and a sister-in-law, Susan Baker on March 6, 2005.
David is survived by his parents, Leon & Selma York Baker, of Wills Point; wife, Carol Baker, of Wills Point; two daughters, Bobbie Lea Baker, of Wills Point and Diana Finch & husband, Paul, of Wills Point; three sons, Steven Hulse, of Wills Point, Shane Hulse, of Wills Point and Mark Hulse, of Quinlan; brother, Tommy Baker & wife, Jan, of Edgewood; sister, Katie Rose Baker, of Wills Point; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Hulse, Crystal Hulse, Brian Hulse, Hayden Hulse, Aaron Collard, Garrett Collard, Amber McAlester and Alex Hulse and a niece, Jennifer Seale, of Edgewood.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
