Debbie Karen Harvey Petersen, 64, of Wills Point, Texas went to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 02, 2023.

Karen was born on December 20, 1958, in Terrell, Texas to Hubert Ray Harvey and Fayetta Lee Hughes Harvey.

Karen was raised in Terrell, Texas, where she attended Terrell High School with the Class of 1976.

Karen married the love of her life, Victor Rick Petersen III on July 3, 1981.

Karen was employed with the Terrell State Hospital, where she retired in 2009.  Karen was a servant after God's heart.  She had a gentle temperament and loved to help others.  She was a volunteer with Shining Light Food Ministry in Wills Point, a member of the Wills Point Ladies Club, Emmaus, and Woman's WMA at 1st Missionary Baptist Church. Karen attended International Outreach Church in Wills Point.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Ray Harvey, grandmother Geneva Hughes, and Aunt Janie Starkey.

Karen leaves behind many to cherish her memory, including her husband, Rick Petersen; mother, Fayetta Harvey; three sons Vic Petersen, Harley Petersen, and Derric Harvey and wife Kim; daughter; Melissa Lee; grandchildren: Mary, Christopher, Desiree, Kylie, Kadyn, Kason, Brooklyn, Hudson, Cassidy, Ashley, and Tyler; great-grandchildren: Bre'lle, Fernando, Tristan, and Adrian.  As well as a host of friends and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home on September 15, 2023, at 1:00 in the afternoon, with Pastor Michael W. Williams officiating.
