Military graveside service for Delton Glen Massey, 87, of Fruitvale is scheduled for 12:00 noon Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas with Mr. Carl McCann officiating. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

Delton was born on July 9, 1930, in Myrtle Springs, Texas, the son of Denver Colorado Massey and Vada Waller Massey. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1949 and attended East Texas University in Commerce. Delton served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was highly decorated. He taught school locally and worldwide until his retirement in 1985. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening.

Preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Vada Massey.

Delton is survived by his sister Melba Jean Campbell & husband, Harold, of Fruitvale; two brothers, D.C. "Bob" Massey, of Valley View and Dan Massey & wife, Polly, of Fruitvale; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
