Funeral services for Dena McEnturff, 85, of Edgewood, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. L.A. "Pokey" Goodson officiating. Interment will follow at Small Cemetery north of Edgewood in the Pleasant Union Community.
She passed away Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2017, in Grand Saline.
Dena was born July 31, 1931, in Wills Point, the daughter of Jesse Minyard Roberts and Gladys Novella Tucker Roberts. She was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1948. She later attended North Texas State University in Denton. On December 9, 1949, she married Roy McEnturff in Wills Point. Dena enjoyed traveling, especially going to Colorado. She loved her family very much and always looked forward to spending time with them and her friends. Dena was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Edgewood.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Gladys Roberts and a sister, Ovella Anne Roberts Durham on March 20, 2005.
Dena is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, Roy McEnturff, of Edgewood; daughter, DeLynn McEnturff Wiedeman, of Edgewood; sister, Mattie Lou Gullett, of Canton; three grandchildren, Aimee Ryan, Kindelle Scharfenberg & husband, Tim and Tyler Scott & wife, Victoria; six great-grandchildren, Tanner Scharfenberg, Aubrey Scharfenberg, Linda Scharfenberg, Averi Ryan, Colton Scott and Carter Scott.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
