Memorial service for Dollie Winfield, 91, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Marty Weesner officiating.
She passed away Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2017 at her residence.
Dollie was born on March 24, 1925, in Lamesa, Texas, the daughter of Clarence Albert Weddle and Mary Elizabeth MacDougal Weddle. She was raised in McCamey and attended McCamey High School. On June 2, 1942, she married Curtis Ray Winfield in McCamey. They were happily married for seventy-two years. Dollie was formerly employed for thirty-eight years as a secretary for Exxon Mobil in McCamey, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed quilting and collecting butterflies and turtles. Dollie lived in McCamey most of her life and two years ago she moved to Wills Point. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McCamey.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Albert and Mary Elizabeth Weddle; husband, Curtis Ray Winfield; brother, Marvin Charles Weddle and two sisters, Lou Smith and Francis Elliot.
Dollie is survived by her son, Buddy Winfield & wife, Faye, of Mesquite; daughter, Beth Sinclair, of Wills Point; brother, Bobby Joe Weddle & Robert Webb, of Ackerly; four sisters, Bernice Houck & husband, Dan, of Sheffield, Betty Lott, of Grand Saline, Peggy Stacy, of Grand Saline and Pat Stroud & husband, Jerry, of Grand Saline; two grandsons, Ray Winfield and Sterling Winfield; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
