Don W. Brooks, of Kaufman, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the age of 85.

Don was born on July 18, 1935 in Hagansport, Texas to the late Isaac and Virginia Brooks. Don married Gaile Bosworth on June 4, 1954. He lived in Kaufman the last 20 years of his life. He was a preacher at Balch Springs Church of God and drove a bus for Mesquite Schools, he retired in January 2017. Don never met a stranger and loved playing dominoes.

To cherish his memories, Don leaves behind his daughter Donna Polege and Eddie of Kaufman; grandchildren, Christy Drake, Lacey Matamoros and Samantha Polege; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Reece Brooks and Mary Lou and Bobby Brooks and Patsy; sisters Yvonne Pryor and Ruby Blanchett and Bill and sister-in-law Velma West Brooks.

Don is preceded in death by his wife Gaile Brooks; parents Isaac and Virginia Brooks; brothers Troy D, Arthur Lee and Billy Jean and sisters Mary Jo and Martha Sue.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Family will be accepting guests one hour prior to service for visitation. Online condolences may be made at allanfullerfuneralhome.com.
