Donald Dunn, born on October 24, 1949, in Wills Point, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was 76 years old.

Donald was the beloved husband of Patricia Dunn and a devoted father to his son, Donald Dunn Jr., and three daughters: Delica Jernigan and her husband James Jernigan, Renita Dunn, and LaTonya Dunn. He also leaves behind two brothers—Paul Ray Dunn and his wife Bobbie, and Sherman Goodson—and one sister, Joyce Goodson. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two valued friends, Mary Rodgers and Rusty Rankin, whose enduring support and presence were deeply appreciated during times of need.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Dunn and Erisa Frison Dunn.

Donald was known for his quiet demeanor and gentle spirit. Though he often kept to himself, those who knew him appreciated his subtle humor and sweet nature. He found joy in simple pleasures—especially walking outdoors and collecting cans along the way. These walks were more than a pastime; they reflected his thoughtful presence and appreciation for the world around him.

Family will hold a funeral service on Friday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church of God in Christ 1112 S. 4th Street Wills Point, Texas 75169.
