Donella Rene Rutledge, born on October 14, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. She was 72 years old.

Donella was the beloved daughter of Alton Rex Rutledge and Betty Jane Rutledge and was raised in Dallas.

Approximately 20 years ago, she moved to Wills Point, Texas, where she built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Known for her loving, funny, and selfless nature, Donella brought joy to all who knew her.

She had a passion for collecting Disney memorabilia and found happiness in traveling and spending time at the beach—places that reflected her vibrant spirit and sense of adventure.

Donella is survived by her daughter Ella Jane Rutledge; brothers Ellis Rankin and David Rutledge; sisters Sue Booth and Diane Queen; grandchildren Lynn, Joshua, and Drew; as well as many extended family members and friends. She also leaves behind special friends Glenda, Grant, Mary, and her dear friend Cathy Zinzalet, whose care and kindness meant so much to Donella in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Heather Degarmo; and two brothers, Rodney Rankin and Rex Rutledge.

Donella's warmth and generosity touched countless lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May her legacy bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
