Donny Lee Groom, Jr., 62, of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed away on July 7, 2023 in Tyler, Texas.

He was born November 1, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Donny Groom Sr. and Shirley Blaylock Williams.

Donny was raised in Dallas prior to moving to Gun Barrell City 40 years ago. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, various sports, and loved music.  He was of the Christian faith.

Donny is survived by his parents, brother Billy Fred Groom of Arkansas, two sisters: Tammy Shadden of Las Colinas, Texas and Stephanie Plant of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday July 13, 2023 at 11:30 am at Tarver Cemetery in Whitton, Texas.
