Doris Owen, a long-time resident of Wills Point, Texas, died Friday, January 3, 2020, at Canton Oaks Nursing Home in Canton, Texas.

Doris Owen was born in 1940 in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Alma and Ollie Williams on August 17, 1940.  Doris graduated from Texarkana High School in 1958. She married the love of her life, Wilbur Owen, on September 6, 1958, in Dallas. Doris loved taking care of the elderly and anything to do with church and cooking. She was a member of Round Flat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale, Texas. Doris was employed by Otis Engineering for 12 years before retiring in 1993.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her husband, Wilbur Owen of Wills Point; sons, Wilbur Douglas Owen, Jr. and wife Cindy of Copper Canyon, Jason Quintanilla of Canton, and Christopher Quintanilla of Canton; daughters, Jeanette Owen of Canton and Alyssa Quintanilla of Canton; brother, Dale Williams and wife, Sharon of Texarkana; sisters, Ann Hickman of Royse City and Frances Presson and husband Glen of Mineola; grandchildren, Hunter Owen and Gilbert Corbell; great-grandchildren, Cash Corbell, Natalie Corbell, Tina Quintanilla, Adrianne Quintanilla, and Jordan Quintanilla, along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Friends and family are invited to visit with Doris' family at Round Flat Church in Fruitvale, Texas, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM.

Interment will immediately follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
